The “Aloxy pulse” is ATEX and IP69 certified

Safety in the energy sector is of paramount importance. Workers in this industry are exposed to a range of potential hazards at different stages of production whether they are doing regular operation, maintenance or turn around activities.

In an environment that can place workers at risk, it seems evident that equipment is tested and certified to withstand all possible conditions.

The Aloxy Pulse is a multi-purpose IIOT device that enables different applications. Typically, it will be attached to (industrial) assets such as valves, motors, pumps or mobile vehicles to monitor their behavior and state based on its inertial sensors.

For instance, by attaching the Aloxy Pulse to the hand wheel or lever of a manual valve, it can monitor the position (open, closed and intermediate position) of the valve in real-time. By attaching the Aloxy Pulse to rotating equipment such as a motor or ventilation unit, it can monitor vibrations or ambient temperature and in real-time send an alert when a certain threshold is exceeded.

Aloxy started in 2017 with the first prototypes, in 2019 the first “production” model was developed.  Now the latest generation “Aloxy pulse’ is being introduced. The model is tested thoroughly and has recently obtained an IP69 classification, IP69 is the highest ingress protection classification allowing the device to be used in any condition.

The Aloxy Pulse complies with the essential safety requirements of the European ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU. It is certified to be used in Gas explosive atmospheres, groups IIC: Gas II 2G Ex ib IIC T4 Gb.

The Aloxy Pulse also complies with the essential safety requirements of the European EMC Directive 2014/30/EU and The Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU (RED), for use within an industrial environment.

On an environmental basis, Aloxy is actively engaged in meeting the requirements of the WEEE directive (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment). In Europe, Aloxy is cooperating at individual country level to establish procedures with organizations providing the infrastructure for the collection, recycling and disposal of waste from electrical and electronic equipment.

The Aloxy pulse is currently in the final stage to obtain FCC approval, this is pending.
