About Aloxy

Aloxy (www.aloxy.io) is a young tech company that builds a modular industrial IoT platform for the process and chemical industry including sensors, wireless communication and gateways to a backend platform and integration with customer systems. Our goal is to improve safety and efficiency, to automate processes and to deliver actionable insights into industrial operations. Our initial product-line offers a solution for manual valve position indication and maintenance progress monitoring. Aloxy is a spin-off of imec and Universiteit Antwerpen.

The role

As a DevOps engineer, you will be responsible for running the Aloxy IIoT Hub and optimizing its deployment and operations. The IIoT Hub consists of set of cloud native services which are deployed on a Kubernetes cluster both in a multi-tenant cloud set-up as in a single-tenant private cloud or on-premise set-up. You will be helping the development team to deploy the applications to production clusters and improve health monitoring & alerting, and you are responsible for operating the system. Furthermore, you will be regularly in contact with the customer to deploy and monitor on the customer’s infrastructure and integrate with the customer’s IT or OT systems.

On a daily basis, you will be:

• Improving CI/CD pipelines;
• Improving the GitOps workflow to automate delivery of clusters and applications;
• Working on Kubernetes clusters and related cloud native technologies like Prometheus and Alertmanager;
• Improving resilience and scalability of the system;
• Troubleshooting technical issues;
• Support customer deployments and integrations;
• Improving monitoring & alerting;
• Operating & monitoring of production systems.
